Cookies and browser storage
Draft for pre-launch review — 19 September 2026. Company contact details and hosting arrangements must be completed before publication. This draft describes the current demonstration website, not the PAtch data platform.
Current use
Google Analytics remains inactive until the website’s public Measurement ID is configured and you grant analytics consent. No Google script is loaded on refusal. It uses local storage when you save your cookie preferences.
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| swisstep_cookie_preferences_v3 | Stores necessary, analytics and marketing choices, a timestamp and preference version; no personal identifier. | Up to 180 days, or until you reset it or clear browser storage. |
| _ga, _ga_<measurement suffix> | Google Analytics browser and session measurement, only after analytics consent and configuration. | Configured up to 180 days; removed by this site on withdrawal where accessible at the configured path/domain. |
Your choices
Allow all permits optional categories, Reject all refuses them, and Custom lets you choose analytics and marketing separately. Necessary preference storage stays enabled. No advertising tools are installed. Analytics consent enables Google Analytics only when configured. You can change your choices through Cookie settings on every page. Browser controls can also clear or block local storage.
Withdrawal
Turn analytics off in Cookie settings. The site disables further analytics, expires its known Google Analytics cookies and reloads if Google was already loaded. No form text is sent to Analytics. Previously collected data is governed by the provider and property retention settings.
Future optional services
Saving a preference does not install an optional service. If analytics, advertising or third-party content are added, the operator must first update this policy and implement purpose-specific consent where required, including an equally accessible refusal and withdrawal option.
